Tickets went on sale Wednesday, Oct. 14, for a literary evening pairing two award-winning novelists at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
The Grosse Pointe Public Library will host its Authors to the Pointe event at the War Memorial on Monday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. The evening pairs Pulitzer Prize winner Andrew Sean Greer and National Book Award winner Susan Choi, according to the library's announcement.
Tickets cost $30 each.
They are available through the Zeffy ticketing platform, and a cash bar will be available at the venue.
Library Director Jessica Keyser said the two authors are friends and will appear together in a conversational format the library has adopted for its recent events.
"We've transitioned to this conversational format for our recent author events, including the 2026 Books on the Lake program with Virginia Evans and Lily King," Keyser said in the announcement. "The audience really enjoyed the easy flow of ideas and the mutual admiration between the authors."
Greer won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel "Less." His latest book, "Villa Coco," was published in June 2026. He is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts grant, according to his speakers agency page.
Choi won the National Book Award for Fiction in 2019 for her novel "Trust Exercise," according to her Wikipedia biography. Her most recent novel, "Flashlight," published in 2025, was shortlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize. Choi teaches creative writing at the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars.
The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library and the Grosse Pointe Library Foundation.
Buyers should note the library has switched its ticketing platform to Zeffy, which does not charge a service fee. The platform does offer an optional "tip" at checkout, but that money goes to Zeffy, not to the library.
Tickets are available at Zeffy’s event page. The Nov. 16 event begins at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms.
